Is Mississippi Killing You Too? (DeSoto Forest)

Ever since moving here my family has been suffering from all kinds of health problems that don't run in our families. Things were ok before Katrina..but it seems that after the BP Oil Spill in 2010..our healthy has been going downhill really fast. General body aches, inflammation, joint pain, insomnia, T2 diabetes, skin rashes, acid reflux, and just generally feeling awful. It's not our diet because we eat plenty of veggie salads, low-carb foods, healthy meats, rarely eat any fried or junk food, and take a boatload of vitamins and supplements. We have well water with two tanks. One adds calcium to our water to protect our pipes from the naturally acidic water, and the other is a Birm filter for the iron. We know plenty of iron still remains in our water and is very unhealthy for adults since we get plenty of iron in our foods and it causes lots of health problems, but we also use a PUR filter for our cooking water and drink bottled water so not sure we get enough iron in our water from bathing to justify all these health problems.

Is anyone else experiencing this? We love the natural beauty of MS but honestly feel something here is killing us. Just don't know what it is. Is it in the air from the oil & gas companies? Or in the water? Feel free to email us if you have experienced the same or have found any solutions. Thank you.
